Shop Sales Operator (Independent Contractor)

Scope of Service

Responsibilities

• Provide shop teller and sales operation services as an independent contractor, covering both retail and wholesale activities.
• Manage daily retail and wholesale sales transactions and customer interactions in line with agreed commercial practices.
• Deliver customer service in a professional and commercially reasonable manner to retail customers and wholesale clients.
• Operate and manage sales processes for walk‑in retail sales and wholesale order fulfillment.
• Maintain and update stock records based on retail and wholesale sales, inventory movement, and stock receipt.
• Handle shipping, delivery coordination, and receipt of goods for both retail distribution and wholesale orders.
• Use the designated CRM system to accurately record operational activities, sales data, and inventory updates.
• Use the CRM system to manage and log service shifts for coordination purposes.
• Provide service coverage across multiple retail shop locations in Johannesburg and Pretoria, as required by operational needs.
• Perform services at different shop locations based on agreed shift allocation and service availability.
• Maintain basic shop presentation and operational standards in accordance with agreed commercial terms and mall requirements.
• Comply with applicable laws, mall regulations, and commercial standards relevant to retail and wholesale shop operations.

Requirements

• Must be willing and able to operate strictly as an independent contractor, not as an employee, and to enter into an Independent Contractor Agreement
• Previous experience in retail sales and shop operations is required; experience with wholesale sales or order handling is a strong advantage
• Demonstrated capability to manage retail and wholesale sales transactions, customer interactions, and order processing independently
• Experience handling stock management, inventory updates, and sales record‑keeping for both retail and wholesale operations
• Ability to coordinate shipping, deliveries, and receipt of goods, including wholesale order fulfillment
• Comfortable using digital systems, including a CRM platform, to record operational activities, sales data, and manage service shifts
• Willingness and ability to provide service coverage across multiple shop locations in Johannesburg and Pretoria, based on operational needs
